During 2007, on the territory of Dobrich District
it will be implemented Project Tourist Destination Dobrudja,
financed under Phare programme 2004, Cross-border cooperation:
Bulgaria – Romania, Joint Small Projects Fund. The total amount of the project is 36 523 euro. The amount of the grant is 30 633 euro.
The project will be implemented by Business
Center Dobrich
and its partners Mare
Nostrum (Romania), NVTC as apart of BCCI system – branch
Dobrich (Bulgaria), and Associated partners: Museum in History
– Dobrich, Bulgarian Biodiversity Foundation and District
Council of Constanta, Romania.
The Overall objective of the project
is to generate
conditions for firm development of sustainable forms of
tourism in Dobrich and Constanta district and to strengthen
position of Dobrudja region as a cross-border destination.
The Specific objective of the project
is to stimulate
cross-border partnership between nongovernmental organizations
and small tourist companies from Dobrich district (Bulgaria)
and Constanta district (Romania), to overcome isolation
and to increase competitive power through:
- organizing workshops and seminars
to raise management skills of SME and to make EU requirements
known, esp. those concerning tourism,
- working meetings
- establishing cross-border association,
- working out common advertisement
policy by means of modern methods of promotion
The target groups of the project are
owners
and managers of small tourist companies from Dobrich and
Constanta district having status of micro or small company,
according to the Law on SME, and NGOs that work on the field
of tourism.
The final beneficiaries of the project
are 30 owners
and managers of small tourist companies from Dobrich and
Constanta district, about 40 companies being part of advertising
catalogue and info desk, four NGO – BC Dobrich, NVTC as
apart of BCCI system – branch Dobrich BBF, Mare Nostrum
and some other cultural institutions; tourists in Bulgaria
and Romania, who will use the info-desks and catalogues
which contain information about attractions, routes and
accommodation in Dobrich and Contstanta district.

Motivation
and selection of 30 representing small tourist companies
from Dobrich and Constanta district;

Unit training
in How to Run Small Family Hotel or House; Financing
and Credit: How and Where to Apply for Financing; Marketing
and Promotion of Tourist Spots for 15 representatives
of Bulgarian companies;

Organizing
two trainings in How to Work with Customers-tourists;
How to Take Part in Tourist Expos or Exhibition for
15 representatives of Bulgarian companies;

One common
workshop in European Tourist Standards for 30 representing
small tourist companies from Dobrich and Constanta district;

Developing
data base of small tourist companies and spots from
border regions;

Experience
and good practices exchange between them by visiting
tourist places in Romania and Bulgaria;

Establishing
cross-border association of small tourist companies,
NGOs working in tourism and cultural institutions from
Dobrich district, Bulgaria and Constanta district, Romania;

Elaboration
of mutual advertising and information catalogue of family
hotels and village houses from Dobrich and Constanta
border regions;
Participation of the Association of small tourist companies
and branch organizations from Dobrich district Bulgaria
and Constanta district Romania in tourist expo;
Working out info desks with two sensor cards and installing
at frontier check points between Bulgaria and Romania,
near to Durankulak and Kardam;

Promotion
and popularization of PHARE programme and the project
results by BCD and its partners.
